Bolt-X Rocket Launch

Past adventure

Build a real rocket, head to the desert, and watch your teamwork take flight.

The Bolts’ STEM crown. The boys build real rockets — engines, fins, payload bays — and watch them fly. We launch at Lucerne Dry Lake in the Mojave Desert.

SCHEDULE:

Launch site setup, safety briefing, name your rocket

First launches (low-altitude class)

Round 2 launches + altitude challenges

Pack out, head home

Pro tip: Old clothes — the dry lake is dusty. Safety glasses provided. Weather-dependent for the launch; flight conditions confirmed the morning of. Rocket-assembly classes happen the weeks before — watch for dates.
